The brothers Mohamed and Mahmood Algharbi began as watch collectors, and from a head office in A’ali, Bahrain, they now design watches that fit the local taste.
How it began
The interest started at home. The brothers admire a family watch collection that passed from their grandfather in 1988 to their father, and then to them. The brand says they began collecting fine watches in 2012, drawn by their father’s vintage collection.
Over the years they studied every detail that makes a watch worth keeping. Then they decided to put that experience into watches of their own. TWB introduced its first collection, Westalia, with a showing at City Centre Bahrain in October 2022.
The name and the idea
TWB stands for The Western Brothers. The name honours the family name, Algharbi, which translates as “the Western”.
The idea, the brand says, is a watch that fits local taste while matching the quality of the world’s leading luxury brands. In an age when viral trends go out of fashion quickly, TWB believes only elegance lasts. The watches are unisex, and the first Westalia models came with interchangeable Italian leather straps, so the colour could be changed. Details are often local. The Westalia Classic Malachite Date has Eastern Arabic markers at 3 and 9 and an Eastern Arabic date numeral.
The watches
There are three collections. Westalia is inspired by tradition and precision. The Westalia White Enamel pairs a white enamel dial and Roman numerals with a micro-rotor automatic movement, in a 41 × 39mm steel case on a steel bracelet.

Westalia also carries the country editions. The Westalia Bahrain Edition, limited to 52 watches, has a red dial engraved with a map of Bahrain. The Westalia Bahrain Edition 55, limited to 55 watches, has a three-dimensional dial of Bahrain’s landmarks. A detail at the 55-minute marker marks the 55th anniversary of Bahrain’s independence. There are also editions for Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Cavalieria draws on bravery, nobility and the world of horses. With Fattan Jewellery, TWB made the Cavalieria x Fattan Blossom. Its 36 × 33mm case is listed for women, and its dial carries Zahret Al-Dunya, a floral motif inspired by traditional Bahraini furniture, in 21-carat gold. The brand says the blossom is left incomplete to stand for the woman who completes the beauty of the world.
Sportalia is the sports line, inspired by speed and endurance. The Sportalia MI Edition Chronograph, limited to 99 watches, has a matt black steel case, an olive green and black dial and a hand-wound chronograph movement.
The brand today
TWB has its head office in A’ali and a boutique at The Avenues Mall in Bahrain, and its website is in English and Arabic. It showed its watches at Riyadh Boulevard in April 2024 and launched at Bahrain City Centre in February 2025. The brothers still see watches as they did as collectors: as expressions of personality, more than instruments of time.
