We chose it as the way into Ressence. It does the one thing the brand is known for, telling the time without hands, and nothing else, in cobalt blue titanium just 11 mm thick. Light enough to forget you are wearing it, and unusual enough that someone will ask.PRJKT8
The TYPE 8 is Ressence with everything taken away but the hours and minutes. Here they sit on a matt cobalt blue dial of convex titanium, with every engraving filled with blue Super-LumiNova.
There are no hands. The whole dial turns to give the minutes, and a smaller satellite set into it turns for the hours. There is no crown either: to wind the watch or set the time, you turn the caseback.
Underneath, a customised ETA 2892/2 drives the ROCS 8 module, with 36 hours of reserve. The case is polished and satin-finished Grade 5 titanium, 42.9 mm across and 11 mm thick, shaped to hide where the strap meets it. Splash resistant only, on blue leather.
