For Ressence founder Benoît Mintiens, a tool watch lives by functionality and legibility, and two new colourways of the TYPE 7 are built on that idea.
Ressence today introduces the TYPE 7 Black and TYPE 7 Cactus, each with a colour-matched rubber strap option. The TYPE 7 launched in March 2025 for the brand’s 15-year anniversary, in Night Blue and the limited XV Aquamarine.

Both share a 41mm Grade 5 titanium case, a fixed ceramic bezel and the oil-filled dial, where rotating discs replace hands.
On the Black, the oil beneath the sapphire deepens the colour, so bright white indices read sharply against deep black. The Cactus green was calibrated for the warmer hue of titanium and its glass-pearled finish.
Swapping the integrated titanium bracelet for rubber makes the watch lighter, while the bracelet keeps its centre of gravity closer to the middle of the wrist. “Different vibes, same watch,” says Mintiens.
Two colours, one idea: the TYPE 7 stays a tool built to be read at a glance.
