We chose it for the calm. Turquoise rings around a black centre, moving slowly enough that you only notice when you look twice. It is an artist’s piece that still works as an everyday Ressence: light titanium, no crown, hours and minutes. Wear the rubber by day, the leather at night.PRJKT8
The DE2 carries Daniel Engelberg’s Inside Out painting in turquoise: rings that grade outward from a black core, set into the dial of a TYPE 8 so that they move.
On canvas, Engelberg builds depth with acrylic sealed under resin. On the watch, it comes from motion. The large disc turns for the minutes and the hour satellite rolls inside it, so the rings drift in and out of line as the hours pass.
A customised ETA 2892/2 drives the ROCS 8 module, with 36 hours of reserve; there is no crown, and the caseback winds and sets it. Grade 5 titanium, 42.9 mm by 11 mm, splash resistant only. Limited to 40 pieces, on turquoise rubber, with a second strap in navy leather.
