A note from the PRJKT8 team
We chose it for the double take. First the shape, a titanium cushion where you expect a circle; then the dial, which tells the time by turning, with no hands to follow. No crown, a lever on the back, and 41.5 mm that wears lighter than it looks. A good first Ressence, and not one you tire of.PRJKT8
The TYPE 1² is Ressence squared off: a cushion-shaped case of Grade 5 titanium around a Night Blue dial that Ressence describes as dark and vivid.
No hands here: the whole convex dial turns to give the minutes, while smaller discs orbit within it for the hours, seconds and day, each read along an engraved, luminous line.
No crown, either. Winding and setting happen at the back, with a small lever on the titanium caseback, so it wears as well on the right wrist as the left. Inside, the ROCS 1.3 module is driven by a customised automatic ETA 2892, with 36 hours of reserve.
