Champagne is the Labormatic that refuses to be serious. Gagà Laboratorio set it up as the opposite of the Bauhaus: where that one is grey and restrained, this one is warm, bright and a little celebratory, as the name promises.
The warm champagne tone fills the layered dial. The hour appears as a number in a window at the top, the minutes are read from the middle ring, and a disc turns at the centre for the seconds. The crown sits at 12 o’clock under a steel cabochon.
The 7-part case measures 42 mm across and 13.3 mm thick, with a double-curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a sapphire caseback showing the La Joux-Perret LJP-G100 automatic and its decorated rotor. The power reserve is 68 hours. Water resistant to 50 m.
It comes on a Saffiano leather strap, handmade in Italy.
