We chose it because it was where the Labormatic story began, and it still has the most charm. The green dial, the rounded case and the hour in its little window feel like a design museum piece you can actually wear, with a proper Swiss automatic doing the work underneath.PRJKT8
Cinquanta means fifty in Italian, and this Labormatic looks back to the Fifties, when Italy’s economic boom turned everyday objects into design pieces.
The green dial carries that period's pastel palette, and the minute track is drawn playfully. The hour appears as a number in a window at the top, the minutes are read from the middle ring, and a disc turns at the centre for the seconds. The crown sits at 12 o’clock under a steel cabochon.
The 7-part case is 42 mm across and 13.3 mm thick, and a sapphire caseback shows the La Joux-Perret LJP-G100 automatic, with 68 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 50 m.
It comes on a Saffiano leather strap, handmade in Italy.
