We chose it for the gold. A case shaped like a car body deserves a little shine, and 4N gold PVD shows off the curves that the black edition hides. Then you turn your wrist and read it from the side, through the prism: the hour jumps, the minutes trail along, and the gold catches the light.PRJKT8
The Gold Edition dresses the Digitrend’s car-body case in 4N gold PVD over satin-brushed and polished 316L steel, which makes it the warm one of the family.
Turn your wrist and the time appears on the side. A sapphire prism catches the two discs lying flat inside, stands them upright and enlarges them: hours jump into place, minutes glide past. The idea earned AMIDA two patents first time round, one for the jumping hour and one for the prism.
Under the gold sits a Soprod Newton P092 automatic with AMIDA’s own module of 9 components and 6 screws, and 44 hours of reserve. The case measures 39.6 mm by 39 mm and weighs 110 g; water resistant to 50 m.
On charcoal Alcantara lined in orange calfskin, or the metal bracelet.
