URWERK UR-100V Full Black Titanium Jacket
For URWERK co-founders Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei, black has been a signature from the start, and the UR-100V now wears it from case to bracelet.
URWERK introduces the UR-100V Full Black Titanium Jacket, a limited edition of 25 pieces. “Black is black. It’s been our signature since day 01 of URWERK and it always will be,” say the two co-founders.

Frei has always drawn URWERK’s watches on a metal bracelet. This one is made of black DLC-treated, sandblasted titanium links, and he likes that the metal starts cold on the wrist and slowly warms. Baumgartner calls the result a perfectly ergonomic watch.
Under the sapphire dome, the hours wander on satellites past a minutes scale. After its hour, the minutes hand reappears on a scale of 555 kilometres, the distance a point on the equator travels in 20 minutes. The idea came from a clock by Gustave Sandoz, a gift from Baumgartner’s father, Geri.
The case recalls URWERK’s first models, their steel dome reborn in transparent sapphire. In black, the founders say, a watch has to deliver its message straight to the heart.
