The Supernova Moonface is the one with the face. Two of Stepan Sarpaneva's moons, half smiling and half scowling, turn beneath a dial built from 5 pieces of steel he calls Northern Stars.
The faces are red, white or yellow gold. Each starts as an oversized copper model that a pantograph copies down to size before it is finished by hand. The crown carries the same face in relief.
The case is 40 mm of Finnish Outokumpu steel, 11.2 mm thick and water resistant to 5 ATM. Inside is a modified Soprod A10 with Sarpaneva's own moon module: automatic, 4 Hz, 42 hours of power reserve, wound by a steel turbine rotor.
On Sarpaneva leather, with a steel pin buckle.
