A note from the PRJKT8 team
We chose it for the stone. Stepan Sarpaneva is best known for his moons, and here he leaves them off the dial and lets a piece of malachite, jasper or meteorite take the stage. It is the quieter Supernova, and no other watch will have your dial.PRJKT8
Stepan Sarpaneva named the Supernova after the explosion that scatters a dying star into new ones. On the time-only model the dial is the debris: a slice of stone or meteorite, each one unique.
The stones include Finnish spectrolite, malachite, lapis lazuli and red jasper, and the meteorite comes in blue or grey. The Moonface is kept off this dial and turns up in relief on the crown.
The 40 mm case is Finnish Outokumpu steel, 11.2 mm thick and water resistant to 5 ATM. Through the sapphire back runs the modified Soprod A10: automatic, 4 Hz, 42 hours of power reserve, wound by a steel turbine rotor.
On a Sarpaneva leather strap with a steel pin buckle.
The images shown include prototypes supplied by Sarpaneva; the finished watch may differ slightly.

Colours can look slightly different on screen.
