The platinum SP One, with a sky-blue flange. That bevelled ring, shaped like an amphitheatre, rises from the edge of the case towards the movement, and in this edition it is the brightest thing on the watch.
MB&F calls the SP One its smallest and slimmest watch: 38 mm across, 12 mm thick, no bezel, and lugs that fall away from a smooth, pebble-shaped case. The idea is three circles of equal size: the barrel, the balance at 2 o’clock, and the hours and minutes on a dial tilted at 6 o’clock, turned through conical gears.
The hand-wound calibre is MB&F’s own, at 2.5 Hz with 72 hours of reserve and 191 components. Its bridges are anthracite, ruthenium-finished. Water resistant to 30 m.
