Description

The dial is made from rye straw. It just takes a second look to believe it.

Created by Portuguese artist Bernardo d’Orey, the Louis Erard Marqueterie de Paille features an abstract “Broken Ice” composition assembled from 28 individual sections in layered shades of blue.

Each unique dial requires around 12 hours of concentrated handwork. Changes in fibre direction allow the colour, texture and reflections to shift continuously with the light.

Presented in a polished 39 mm stainless steel case and limited to 25 pieces.
