Louis Erard continues its mission of making rare crafts accessible with the Fil d’Or, a daring collaboration with Sylvie Villa & Mark Miehlbradt of Wire Art Switzerland. Once engineers wiring the digital world, they now wire time itself.

The dial is not printed — it is wired. Woven with 24K hardened gold thread just 25 microns thick (three times thinner than a human hair), each thread is placed one by one, every three seconds, and soldered under binocular precision. In total: 2,320 golden wires and 3,660 solder points form the striking cube motif, a Louis Erard signature.

With only 99 pieces worldwide, the Fil d’Or is not just a timepiece — it is the golden thread that ties innovation to tradition.
