We chose it because it is a joke told by two serious watchmakers. The eyes really are the hours and seconds, the titanium keeps it light, and the crown is an actual crown. The brown is the one we’d wear in the evening: warmer, darker, with a flash of gold in the stare.PRJKT8

It is a regulator. Hours turn on a disc at 9 o’clock and seconds on one at 3 o’clock, and they are the frog’s eyes, 5N-plated with dark brown lacquered pupils. The arrow-shaped minute hand runs between them over a light brown grained base.
The 40 mm Grade 5 titanium case holds the automatic Sellita SW266-1, with at least 38 hours of reserve. The crown at 12 o’clock is an actual crown, which seems only fair for a princess. Limited to 178 pieces.
On black Himeji Kurozan calf, finished in Urushi lacquer.
