We chose it for the way it reads. The glossy hour counter catches you first, then the green-tipped seconds hand reminds you it is running. Black PVD steel, a green window on the back and a regulator inside: dark without being gloomy. Made with Label Noir of Geneva, and only 178 exist.PRJKT8
Louis Erard says the hour counter at 12 o’clock is the only glossy black element on this watch. That is deliberate: it is where your eye lands first.
Label Noir, a Geneva atelier known for customising watches, wanted the time read in order: the hour, then the minutes, then the seconds. So the rest of the black dial is satin-brushed from 6 to 12 o’clock, crossed by a thin fir tree seconds hand with a green tip. Even the sapphire caseback is tinted green, an idea of Louis Erard’s that Label Noir kept.
The 42 mm steel case is sandblasted and black PVD-coated, water resistant to 50 m. Inside, the automatic Sellita SW266-1 gives about 38 hours. On black nylon with green stitching. Limited to 178 pieces.
