We chose it because it rewards a second look. From across the room it is a smart blue dress watch; up close, four different patterns catch the light in turn, with the small seconds set in darker anthracite. At 39 mm in polished steel, it is easy to wear every day.PRJKT8
Look closely and this is four dials in one, each zone with its own guilloché-style pattern.
At the centre, a draped flinqué-style motif ripples outward in waves. A ring leads to the wide hour circle, covered in a staggered panier pattern that reads like scales, and a railway minute track closes the edge. The ring and the small seconds at 6 o’clock are anthracite, with the same patterns in a darker tone against the blue.
The 39 mm polished steel case keeps Louis Erard’s fir tree crown and rhodium-plated fir tree hands. Behind the glass back is the automatic Sellita SW261-1 in Élaboré grade, with about 38 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 50 m.
On black grained calf leather, with bars for a quick strap change.
