We chose it for how much dial you get on a classic three-hander. Four patterns, two tones of black and anthracite, small seconds that echo the rest, fir tree hands to finish. It is the Excellence for someone who likes a dress watch that rewards a second look.PRJKT8
Louis Erard calls this dial “guilloché style”, and builds it in four parts. The centre carries a draped pattern that radiates outwards, the classic flinqué effect; around it, the wide hour circle has a panier motif staggered like scales.
A thin ring closes the design, then a railway minute track. The small seconds at 6 o’clock repeat the patterns in darker anthracite, and the transfers are white. The hands are Louis Erard’s fir tree shape, rhodium-plated, and the crown follows suit.
The polished steel case is 42 mm wide and 12.25 mm thick, with a see-through caseback onto the automatic Sellita SW261-1, élaboré grade, with an openworked rotor bearing the Louis Erard symbol in black lacquer. About 38 hours of reserve, water resistant to 50 m.
