A note from the PRJKT8 team
We chose it because you can see the hand in it. Each dial spent hours on a manual rose engine, and the pattern needed cams that had to be invented first. Tilt it and the big diamond seems to move, which is the effect Louis Erard was after. Only 99 were made.PRJKT8
This dial was cut by hand, one at a time, on a manual rose engine. For its second Guilloché Main, Louis Erard makes the technique the subject: one large diamond, which the brand likens to an ace of diamonds, built from interlocking squares.
The dial is matt black varnish, guilloché by hand in the traditional way by Fehr & Cie SA, then rhodium-plated. Louis Erard says each took several hours, and that its engineers had to invent and make new cams for the pattern. The hour circle and “Swiss Guilloché Main” are in powdered silver; the fir tree hands are blued steel.
Behind the see-through caseback is the automatic Sellita SW261-1, with around 38 hours of reserve. 42 mm of steel, a domed sapphire with the logo printed underneath, water resistant to 50 m.
Black grained calf with a blue lining, on quick-change spring bars. Limited to 99 pieces.
Specifications
Colours can look slightly different on screen.
