The watch

Destination Moon is a rocket you can park on a desk, and on this one the landing pods are green. MB&F drew the shape; L'Epée 1839 built the clock inside it.

The movement is laid out like a launch vehicle. The power is at the bottom, where you wind it by turning the propulsion wheel; the regulator sits above it; the time is read at the top, off two stainless steel discs with stamped numerals. Neil, an astronaut in solid silver with a steel helmet, holds on to the ladder by a magnet.

It runs for 8 days at 2.5 Hz, with 164 components and 17 jewels in the movement. It stands 41.4 cm tall and weighs 4.0 kg. Limited to 50 pieces in each colour.
