We chose it for what it does with light. In the morning the Ice White dial is crisp and bright; by evening the “Stairway to Eternity” pattern turns into a grid of soft shadows. It is the quieter Antarctique, 40.5 mm of steel on an integrated bracelet, and it goes with a kandura as easily as a T-shirt.PRJKT8
White dials can look flat. This one cannot, because the surface is not flat: Czapek stamps it with its registered “Stairway to Eternity” pattern, so every small trapezoid casts a shadow.
The Ice White flinqué dial carries luminescent rhodium-plated markers, steel sword hands and a date at 6 o’clock, placed there to keep the dial symmetrical. The 40.5 mm steel case is 10.6 mm thick under a box sapphire crystal, with a screw-down crown and water resistance to 120 m.
Through the sapphire caseback is the in-house SXH5, with sandblasted black bridges, a micro-rotor in recycled platinum and more than 60 hours of power reserve. On an integrated steel bracelet, with a calf leather or rubber strap as the alternative.
