Since 2018, Sylvie Fleury has turned make-up palettes into monumental paintings, and Louis Erard has now turned one into a watch.
Louis Erard today introduces Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Sylvie Fleury Palette of Shadows, limited to 178 pieces. Fleury brings her make-up-palette paintings into the watch’s two counters.
The 39mm case is polished steel with a black PVD finish, and the black lacquer dial recalls a lacquered make-up compact. A coral counter marks the hours at 12 o’clock and a magenta counter the seconds at 6, echoing two powder pans. Louis Erard’s and Fleury’s names sit tone-on-tone at 3 and 9.
“I unveil objects with raw simplicity, while relentlessly pushing the boundaries that try to cage them, refusing to be boxed in by the labels of what I do and who I am,” says Fleury. Inside is the automatic regulator calibre Sellita SW266-1, with 38 hours of power reserve.
Louis Erard calls 178 a symbol of unity, the strength of the whole — fitting for a dial that gives two colours one face.
