Brushed steel in a warm copper tone. The grain of the metal catches the light, and the lit letters show up white against it.
Under it is the EARTH 45, formerly CLASSIC. Every letter is cut through the steel by laser; those that spell the current time are lit from behind, while a dot in each corner keeps count of the minutes. Magnets hold the front in place, so a different finish or language can replace it, though an Arabic front only gives way to another Arabic one.
It measures 450 × 450 × 22 mm, weighs about 4.8 kg and goes on the wall bracket or the acrylic base. A light sensor keeps the brightness right for the room; precision is ±8 seconds a month.
