Description

Goutte de Rosée is French for a drop of dew. It is CZAPEK’s rippled Goutte d’Eau dial, done in green enamel over silver and set in yellow gold.

Donzé Cadrans stamps the ripples into a 925 sterling silver base, then lays on coat after coat of translucent green Grand Feu enamel by hand, firing it in the kiln between each. The enamel pools in the hollows and thins on the crests, which gives the green its depth. Green is the awkward colour to fire: about 60 blanks were made to get 25 dials.

The case is 38 mm of 18-carat 3N yellow gold. Inside is the in-house SXH5.1, wound by a micro-rotor in recycled 950 platinum, with a 60-hour power reserve, on view through the sapphire caseback.

On green alligator leather. No two dials are quite alike. Limited to 25 pieces.
