M.A.D.1 Edition 1 (Blue)

This is the blue M.A.D.1, the edition that started M.A.D.Editions. MB&F released it in June 2021 as a Friends & Family edition for the people around the brand, never as a general release, and plenty of people outside that circle wanted one.

The idea is MB&F's, made simpler. A Miyota 821A is modified and mounted upside down, so its triple-blade winding rotor spins on top where you would expect a dial. The hours and minutes run along the side of the case on a lateral display, readable without turning your wrist.

The case is 42 mm of stainless steel, and the blue colour scheme is the one that marks this original edition. It winds itself as you wear it, and the rotor is the part you will catch yourself watching.
