We chose it for the meeting of two things Moser does well: fumé and enamel. The Purple Haze dial has Moser’s gradient with the depth only fired enamel gives, and nothing printed on it to get in the way. Underneath, the HMC 201 runs for 72 hours. A purple watch that never shouts.PRJKT8
This is Moser’s fumé, done in Grand Feu enamel. The Purple Haze dial darkens towards its edge like every Moser fumé, but because it is fired enamel rather than lacquer, the colour has a glassy depth.
It is built from layers of finely crushed enamel on a white gold base. The Concept rules apply: no logo, no indexes, only the hands and the colour.
The 40 mm steel case holds the automatic HMC 201 with a double hairspring, running at 3 Hz with a 72-hour power reserve. Water resistant to 30 m. The strap is purple kudu leather with a steel pin buckle, in case anyone missed the theme.
