Description

No two Ice Cloud dials match, and Czapek could not make them match if it tried. The clouds are painted by hand into mother-of-pearl.

The technique is nacre brouillée. White nacre, 0.2 mm thick, is varnished on its underside in pale blue with a horsehair brush, then fired in an oven so the brushwork sets as drifting cloud. Czapek says a single specialist at GT Cadrans can do it, which explains the edition.

The 38.5 mm steel case is 10.6 mm thick, with a screw-down crown and water resistance to 120 m. Inside is the in-house SXH5, wound by a recycled platinum micro-rotor, with a 60-hour power reserve. It comes on the integrated steel bracelet, with a rubber strap included. Limited to 10 pieces.
