U4-AEG

The U4-AEG is the brighter side of UNIMATIC's Modello Quattro. Its sandblasted dial is aluminium-coloured, and the seconds rail and trims are debossed rather than printed, so they show up through light and shadow instead of ink.

The 40 mm case is brushed 316 stainless steel with a fixed monoblock bezel, a 2.8 mm flat sapphire and a wrinkled caseback. It is water resistant to 300 m, and Super-LumiNova® C1 keeps the hands and markers readable after dark.

Inside is the Seiko NH35A automatic: it winds in both directions, winds by hand, stops the seconds for setting and runs for more than 41 hours. Made in Italy. Limited to 250 pieces, each individually numbered.

It comes on an olive drab seatbelt NATO strap, with a black one in the box for days when olive isn't the mood.
