Horological Machine 12 The Guardian Purple
Description
HM12 The Guardian Purple is a wristwatch on the wrist and, off it, the head of a robot that stands 38.2 cm tall. Purple is the colour of its face shields and of the robot’s body.
The robot was developed with L’Epée 1839 and has 755 components of its own. Its chest holds a mechanical thermometer, one arm a magnifying glass and the other a UV torch, and a drawer in the base keeps the Velcro strap while the watch is mounted.
The watch itself is Grade 5 titanium, 49.3 by 43.6 by 13.8 mm. Its in-house automatic calibre, 646 components with an 84-hour power reserve, drives a flying tourbillon, jumping hours and trailing minutes, and a set of mechanical face shields worked from the left crown.
It looks, frankly, as if it might move when you leave the room. Limited to 12 pieces.
