Description

Marc Newson and Ressence’s founder, Benoît Mintiens, took the TYPE 3 and redrew its outline: an elliptical case with no lugs, in Grade 5 titanium, the domed sapphire flowing into its sides.

On the dial, the pointers borrow their shape from Newson’s Ikepod watches, in celadon green, grey and black with yellow accents, and the indications glow blue and green. Red Dot named it Best of the Best.

Underneath, it is all TYPE 3: 4.15 ml of silicone oil in the upper chamber, so the display seems to float just under the crystal, and a magnetic link from the dry automatic movement to the ROCS 3.6. Hours, minutes, day, date, oil temperature and a 180-second runner, on 36 hours of reserve.
