Watch Stand

Aubliq began with a watch stand. Its founder, the designer J. Youn, spent years looking for one that held a watch well, found none that pleased him, and made his own, meant to be a design object in its own right.

The body is AL6061 aluminium, machined, ceramic blasted and anodised. A bent stainless steel wire carries the cushion, two joints set the angle, and a watch goes on or comes off with one hand. The cushion is sheepskin, shaped at the back to keep clear of a bracelet.

At 500 g it stays put, Aubliq says, even if someone kicks the desk. Made in South Korea, in Silver with Brown, Royal Green or a limited Khaki Green nappa.
